Hello, my name is Sharon Fancourt.
To tell you a little bit about myself, as a child growing up I was very fortunate to be surrounded by a menagerie of animals including pets such as rabbits, birds, sheep, horses and of course, my life long love affair, dogs.
After high school I went through an apprenticeship as a signwriter, painter and decorator. This led to working on the restoration of Victorian and Federation houses in Sydney.
After meeting my husband we traveled around Australia. We discovered Cairns in 1991 and decided that was going to be our sea change. All the while my dogs went with me everywhere. In Cairns I worked in the service industry for many years.
We had rescued a little Maltese Terrier called Ralph who needed grooming and that’s where I met Jill. Jill inspired me to take up dog grooming. After successfully completing the Smooch a Pooch training course I have been grooming dogs of all different breeds, from English Mastiffs and Golden Retrievers to Cavoodles, Pomeranians, Chihuahuas and everything in between.
I’ve realised that I have found my love job.
